Alice Webb, 33, from Gloucestershire, died in 2024 after Jordan Park, an influencer who called himself the lip king, injected chemical fillers into her buttocks during a liquid BBL. Within hours she was dead. Park himself died in February 2025 after reportedly undergoing a cosmetic procedure.
Alice's former partner has now revealed that the family were told Park had been issued with prohibition orders in Salford and Dudley months before he treated Alice. The orders banned him from carrying out BBLs because of the way he was performing them. Despite these bans, he was allowed to continue practising in the West of England.
"When he found out he'd been banned in two different parts of the country and yet was allowed to practise down here. I was pretty shocked, to be honest," Alice's former partner said. "At no point has he learnt the lessons of his dangerous practices, so therefore he should have been stopped."
The family believe that if Alice had known about the prohibition orders, she would not have gone ahead with the procedure. "My daughter's mum should still be here. Alice should still be here," he added.
Alice's family are now calling for a complete overhaul of the system. "If a procedure is dangerous to be done in one part of the country, then it's dangerous to perform it in all parts of the country, as far as I'm concerned," the former partner said.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said: "We're taking action to crack down on cosmetic cowboys and root out dangerous practices. We will consult on tough new measures that will ensure only qualified healthcare professionals can perform the highest risk procedures, such as BBLs."
For Alice's family, no change can bring her back, but they hope exposing the gaps in the industry will help save other lives.
